This means that the copyright of an article published by Suri remains with its author with the inititial right to publish granted to the Philosophical Association of the Philippines (PAP), Inc. By publishing in this open access platform, articles are free to use, with proper attribution to Suri as the first publisher, for educational and non-commercial purposes.
Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement
- Duties of the Editorial Board: It is the duty of the Editorial Board to maintain the quality of articles published by the journal. This is done through a double-blind review process involving the editors and nominated external referees. It is the duty of the Editorial Board to accept or reject the publication of an article based on its philosophical merits. An article may be rejected by the Editorial Board based on the violation of any legal provisions on libel, copyrights, and plagiarism. It is the duty of the Editorial Board to inform the author of the status and outcome of the review process. The Editorial Board shall not charge authors of any editorial processing fees.
- Duties of the Referee: The referee shall assist the Editorial Board in determining the schorlarly quality of an article. The referee shall adhere to the double-blind review policy of the journal. The recommendation of the referee whether to accept or reject a paper must be based on an objective evaluation of the philosophical merits of the article and not on biased opinions regarding the religious, sexual, or political persuasions of the author. It is the duty of the referee to notify the Editorical Board if any legal violation committed by the author is suspected.
- Duties of the Author: It is the duty of the author to adhere to the double-blind review policy of the journal, hence, the submitted manuscript must be prepared for such a review. It is the duty of the author to ensure that the manuscript is not plagiarized, not been previously published, and not under consideration in another journal. It is the duty of the author to inform the Editorial Board if the manuscript is being considered in another journal. The author must abide by the copyright policy of the journal.
